I’ve always believed in him. We became friends after one summer. Baby steps, as we liked to call it. Jean is the opposite of me when it comes to friendship or socializing. He’s very aware. He’s suspicious. But we have the same codes, the same sense of humor, we grew up with the same references. We were born the same year, only a month apart!
